One over looked super power we have is the power to make time and money. Making time for something that is important in your life is as simple as a choice you make. You can choose to set other things aside for a while and spend some time on something you love.
We tend to overlook things that we would like to spend our time on, because we are to busy or should I say entangled in tasks that provides us with money, the deep dark pit of frustration and unhappiness. So how do you untangle yourself and still make money.
First of all, if money is your main priority, I will have to tell you that you will be disappointed in live and in yourself for not choosing money instead of having a free live, and you might only realize it at age 75. What you need to do is re evaluate what you think success is, do you really think you are successful if you bank account is full to the brim?
Or might success be in being free, traveling, sleeping in, or to be in total control of your life. To me the latter is success, there is nothing wrong in having loads of money, it helps you to get along. But having freedom goes a long way to. What is the point in having loads of cash and not enjoying it, because you don't have the time. I haven't seen allot of people that that have time and money.. I see people with time and little money or I see people with lots of money and no time.
One thing about only making money is that it doesn't have a story, being free does, traveling doing what you love does. I can tell you that I went to on a two month and two week holiday to India with R1000 in my account, thats all. Guts always pays off. I had to survive on that money for almost two weeks before I got paid by my client. How many of you will go on a holiday with no money... those people are few and far in between. Do they have as story to tell about how they figure it all out.. No.. but I do!
Tim Ferris in his book the Four Hour Work Week calls this concept the New Rich. I might not be rich in money but I am rich in experiences. You will have to choose but which ever one you choose it should be based upon what makes you really happy. If you have the dream job where you do what you love and earn money then you are on the right track. If you are doing what you love and not getting allot of money and you need more money, don't get stuck in a rut. Apply your talent in a micro way to earn a small income stream and grow it with time.
One thing is sure you can make time for things you love and make money while you are doing it, you just got to get your ducks in a row, and you should want to do it with all your heart.
